Welcome!

Hey,"Lets Be Friends" is done by two student's, Nashwah and Tyeisha, in the eight grade humanities year, at University Neighborhood Middle school! It has been a great year for both Nashwah and Tyeisha although at times Mr. Locker has been hard on them. They even at times wanted to tell him a thing or two, but have learned it was done in their best interest. Pushing them to their true level has really given them the strength and courage they have today. As you read and hopefully enjoy their blog, you'll see how they have grown in humanities this year!!

ENJOY!!

Nashwah and Tyeisha Readinq Reflection

PhotobucketNashwah Daniels and Tyeisha Tearsly not only share almost the same birthday, but also share similar reading habits!Nashwah and Tyeisha both like to imagine them selves in the story. However they are diffrent in some ways like, Tyeisha likes to stop at every three paragraphs and re-think what happen's. Meanwhile, Nashwah doesn't stop, and she makes up a diffrent scene of how it should have went according to her personal opinion and the behaviors and attitudes of the charcters in the book. As you can see, Nashwah and Tyeisha have some similarities and diffrences, but there is one thing they both agree on, and that is that the books their classmates read somehow relate to their lives or their interst in the future. Example, Tyeisha read a book called "Chat Room," which is kind of like aim (aol instant messanger), where everyone you know can chat and correspond with each other. Nashwah read "Teens take it to court," which relates to Nashwah because she wants to be a lawyer(crimanal justice). Nashwah and Tyeisha also believe if kids pick books that relates to them, it would be less likely to abandon books! So in conclusion, as you have noticed, Nashwah Daniels and Tyisha Kearsly have very diffrent and some similar reading styles. The dynamic duo even reads some of the same books and hold very different opinions on certain chapters according to personal experiences. Nashwah and Tyeisha have produced a very good vocabulary through out the year as partners, although they have conflicting personalities!
