1. Our number one favorite book is " A Child Called It" by Dave Pelzer. This book is about a boy named Dave (hint-the author) Dave went threw a triumph of pain and sorow, his mother not only abused him physicaly but mentaly. They have some scenes in this book that not only makes you appreciate the life you have now, but makes you wanna breack down and cry. I remember I was on my way to Brooklyn on the train and I was with my aunt, my cuzin and step sister. To pass the time away I decided to read my book, and one scence in the book where Dave's mother locked him in a bathroom full of chemicals. I personally know that when I clean my brother's room with chemicals, and the door is open it start's to burn my eyes. At that moment on the train, I just immediately started to ball out and cry. Not only did I catch everyone's attention, I even heard a few comments. I didn't really mind them though, the book really touched my heart and that's why I made it my number one choice!
2.
Our second choice is "Dancing Naked" by Shelly Hrdlitschka. This book is about a girl named Kia. Kia is a pregnant teenager in her junior year in school. A sudden unexpeacted pregnancy changes everything and with the support of her friends & family, kia gets through this trying time in her life. I like this book because it relates to alot of girls our age that are under the pressure of haveing sex, are actually having it and getting pregnant. This book is funny, witty, thrilling and some suprises came with it as well.

Our third favorite book is "November Blues" by Sharon M.Draper. At first I didn't really want to read this book. I thought it was gonna be like the "Battle of Jericho," which I didn't really enjoy that much. However, "November Blues" is the most exciting book ever I had the joy of reading! I was very intimidated when I saw the size of the book, but when I finally started readinq it, I didn't wanna stop reading. Before I knew it, I was done! This one, just like "Dancing Naked," is about an urban teenager's pregnancy. I can truly say that this book rocks! it draws you in, captures your attention, until you've read it cover to cover. It is definitely an eye snatcher, especially the part when her dead boyfriend's parents try to take the baby... ooops, I said too much already! It's a point blank awesome book!

Julie captures the heart and soul of not only todays teenagers, but todays society and social outlook on America's stereo types. The author sends her message through the characters, Jasmin and Antonia. Jasmin is a punk rocker and Antonia is what we claim as normal. When Antonia gets into peer councelling, things get ruff and they found out not everthing is as it seems on
